Last Monday, 24th September 2012, Equilibrium (A Concern of the Department of Economics), organized a ‘Cross-Talk’ on Budget FY 2012-13. The participants from the department were as follows: Mr. Hossain Md. Belal Shihan, presenting on the ICT sector; Mr. Nabil Ahamed Siddiqi, presenting on the Education sector; Ms. Sworna Biswas, discussing on the Health sector; Mr. Asif Murshid, talking of the Energy and Power sector; and Mr. Ikhtekhar Alam Rafez presenting on the financing of the ADP and therefore effect on the investment level of the country. Then they were commented upon by a series of speeches from Prof. Dr. Tazul Islam -Dean of FASS, Dr. A.N. Ahmed Niaz - faculty, department of Economics, Dr. A.B.M. Rahmatulah -AQAC, guest speaker from Italy Mr. Fillipo Sebastio- researcher, Innovation for Poverty Action (A concern of Yale university, US) and Mr.  Ishraque Osman - faculty of the department & the mentor of Equilibrium. The program ended successfully with the certification of the participants and the organizers of the program by the kind hands of Dr. A.N. Ahamed Niaz and Mr. Fillipo Sebastio.
