| A conference on “Internationalization of Higher Education” was jointly held between Sias International University (SIU) and the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) from May 27-29, 2010 in Xinzheng, Henan. This coincides with the 28th board meeting of the Association. Internationalization of higher education is a trend of the development in education. Against the backdrop of globalization, it is the requirement and the challenge of our time to improve education quality, draw experience from other countries, and enhance international cooperation between countries. The VC was the keynote speaker in the opening ceremony of the conference. The topic was “Globalization or Internationalization in Higher Education.” She was also the guest speaker on the “Grand Alumni Homecoming” and the 10th year celebration of partnership with Sias International University and Fort Hays State University. The conference was participated by key university officials, government officials and industry professionals.
The AIUB signed an MOU with the Henan University, a government university in Kaifong, Henan.
Chaired the 28th board meeting of the Association. The unveiling ceremony of the sub-center in SIU for the AUAP’s lifelong Center was also held.
