Conference in "Best Practices in University International development Cooperation"

The VC, Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna together with Mr. Hasanul A. Hasan, Treasurer and VP for HR and Administration represented the University and the country in a conference held in Baguio, Benguet, Philippines last February 2-4, 2010.  The international conference theme which is "Best Practices in University International development Cooperation" organized by St. Louis University and Benguet State University funded by Flemish Inter-Universtiy Council (VLIR) brought together individuals and institutions involved in international academic collaborations in higher education institutions worldwide.  Its objectives are:  exchange international experiences in the field of developing higher education institutions through collaboration, present models and case studies in university international collaboration, and share the challenges and opportunities encountered in the said area.  The event opened possibilities for new academic and institutional partnerships among the participants.  Mr. Ehsanul Huda Chowdhury, Director for the MBA Program and Mr. Nisar Ahmed, Department Head for Accounting and Finance were also present. Dr. Lamagna was a Plenary speaker during the program on "Asian Model of University Development Cooperation".
