Dr. Prodhan Mahbub Ibna Seraj, Head and Associate Professor, Department of English, AIUB, conducted a virtual webinar titled "AI as a Co-Critic: A Facilitator’s Assistant for Teaching & Learning English" on Friday, August 22, 2026, The webinar was organized by the Department of English of the Bangladesh University (BU). It was a part of Webinar Series on AI, language and literature. Artificial intelligence can be more than an answer engine: used thoughtfully, it can become a co-critic that supports reflection, interpretation and feedback. This Department of English webinar asks how educators and learners can use AI as a facilitator’s assistant while preserving human judgment, creativity and critical engagement with language and literature. Dr. Prodhan shared practical strategies and valuable perspectives on integrating AI responsibly within English education. He demonstrated how different types of AI tools can be used ethically and effectively without resorting to plagiarism.
