Sauda Musharrat (Student, Dept. of Computer Engineering, AIUB) is one of the five winners of the prestigious Digital Bangladesh Award with her idea “Vision 2041: An Affordable Real-time Patient Monitoring System for Underprivileged Hospitals”. This project idea was guided under the supervision of Dr. Kamruddin Nur, Associate Professor, Dept. of Computer Science, AIUB. As an initiative to provide the youth a platform to create remarkable change and innovations for the country’s development, Access to Information (a2i) Programme Innovation Lab organized a competition for the University students nationwide titled “৪১-এ আমার বাংলাদেশ”. The ‘Digital Bangladesh Day’ was observed through the organization of various programs and seminars aiming to educate people on ICT-based services to build a technologically advanced country. The theme of the day was ‘Digital Bangladesh will be Bangabandhu’s Sonar Bangla’. The event also acknowledged the Digital Bangladesh Award winners of RoboWar and puzzle game shows, discussions, seminar, nationwide online essay competition in the prize giving ceremony at BICC. The best participants were awarded laptop on December 12, 2018 in “Digital Bangladesh Day”, organized by the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division, held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC). The occasion was graced with the presence of the honorable Mr. Mustafa Jabbar (Minister, Ministry of Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology), Mr. Md. Nojibur Rahman (Principal Secretary to the Honorable Prime Minister, Prime Minister’s Office), Mr. Abul Kalam Azad (Principal Coordinator (SDG Affairs), Prime Minister’s Office), Ms. Zuena Aziz (Secretary, Office Information and Communication Technology Division) and Mr. A K M Khairul Alam (Director General, Dept. of ICT).
