The Department of Architecture at the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) is proud to announce that Md. This award recognizes exceptional work by final-year architecture students.

The award was given at a two-day international conference entitled “Architecture-Where to Go”, consisting of seminars, an exhibition, and the award ceremony. The event took place in Aloki Convention Center from 9th-10th May, where all submissions were on display. Among the projects on display was Faria Tabassum Sujan’s “A Path Towards Resilience Through Community‐Driven Activities at Goradigha, Kishoreganj” and Sanzima Binte Islam Miva’s “Health City, Sher‐e‐Bangla Nagar, Dhaka” – who also represented AIUB.

Masum’s thesis project, titled "Threads of Connection: A Multifunctional Space for Artisan Revival in Benaroshi Polli," was completed during the Fall 2024-2025 semester under the guidance of studio teachers Farzana Siddiqua and Mehedi Amin, with Sariful Islam Sajib serving as the project supervisor. His thesis project focuses on Preserving the intangible heritage of handmade Benaroshi fabric, along with housing the people that produce it. It also deals with creating large-scale public spaces and amenities.
