CIMA and AIUB SIGNED MoU

 
The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) with  headquarters in UK has entered into an Memorandum of Understanding with the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB).  After series of negotiations and assessment of the FBA  business program, the CIMA finally  decided to approve the application for waiver of the 8 courses to qualify for the CIMA Professional Qualification.  It is the intention of both institutions to cooperate and share expertise and resources to provide opportunities to AIUB students to obtain CIMA professional qualification. The specific terms and condition of each party have been spelled in the MOU which was signed by the honorable Vice Chancellor of AIUB, Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna and Mr. Bradley Emerson, the Regional Director  for Middle East, South Asia and North Africa. This event was held on Sunday , 8 September 2013  both in the office of the Vice Chancellor and on the stage of the auditorium after the conduct of the  seminar on How to qualify for CIMA professional?  The Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration signed as witness on behalf of AIUB and Ms. Zareef Tamanna Matin, Country Manager for the CIMA. Present during the seminar and signing were  the Head, Department of Accounting, Mr. Zakaria Masud, the accounting faculty and students. For the AIUB FBA students who are interested to apply for qualification, the Department of Accounting of FBA will be ready to provide assistance.
