The AIUB Arts Club organized a ten-day-long AIUB Intra Art Exhibition 2025, titled “Chitre Chirantan,” held from August 31 to September 11, 2025, in the lobby of Building D at the American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) campus. The name “Chitre Chirantan,” symbolized an artistic declaration of timelessness — an attempt to transcend time through color, line, and creative touch. Each canvas reflected a unique story of life and emotion, uniting the artists and viewers in a shared visual journey.
The opening morning of the exhibition radiated festivity and excitement. The play of light in the gallery and the colorful canvases mounted on wooden panels created a captivating atmosphere across the campus. The exhibition was inaugurated by Mrs. Nadia Anwar, Chairperson and Founder Member of the AIUB Board of Trustees, whose presence inspired the new generation of artists.
Distinguished guests also attended the inauguration, including Dr. Hasanul A. Hasan, Founder Member; Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor; Dr. Carmen Zita Lamagna, Former Vice Chancellor and Member, Board of Trustees; Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Ms. Shania Mahia Abedin, Member, Board of Trustees; and Prof. Dr. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor, AIUB. Renowned macroeconomist and public policy analyst Dr. Debapriya Bhattacharya also visited the exhibition and commended the creative efforts of AIUB’s young artists. The success of the event was made possible through the dedication and guidance of Mr. Niaz Majumdar, Mentor of the AIUB Arts Club.
The exhibition offered a glimpse into the inner worlds of AIUB’s student artists — voices that spoke through colors when words could not. Some artworks embodied love and joy, while others expressed pain, resistance, and deep philosophy. Every brushstroke seemed to whisper: “We are here. We see. We feel.”
In addition to traditional paintings, the exhibition also featured bioscopes and animations, expanding artistic expression beyond the canvas. “Chitre Chirantan” was not merely an exhibition; it was a collective dream — a space where time stood still, and both students and teachers connected through the silent language of art.
The event concluded with an award ceremony and a vibrant cultural program, presented by members of the AIUB Arts Club. The evening celebrated artistic talent and community spirit, recognizing the artists’ achievements and reigniting inspiration in every attendee.
The event reflected the AIUB Arts Club’s belief that art unites people, nurturing patience, appreciation, and a love for beauty. “Chitre Chirantan” stands as a shining example of how creativity can transcend boundaries and remind us that art is not only seen — it is felt.
