On 4^th September 2018, AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES) arranged the Final Defense program entitled as “Celebration of Project and Thesis Completion” of EEE and CoE department for the Summer 2017-18 semester. This exuberant program was held in the Multi-purpose hall of Annex-7 of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) which was supported by the faculty members of Department of EEE & CoE.

A total of 70 groups participated in the final defense program where the participants defended their projects before their respective supervisors, externals and other faculty members. After the successful completion of their defense, a poster competition was held among the groups where the judges scrutinized all the posters and asked questions related to the poster to the belonging group members. All the participants were presented with a crest as a means of appreciation for successfully completing their project and thesis. The radiance of the event was heightened with the delightful speech from Prof. Dr. A. B. M Siddique Hossain (Dean, Faculty of Engineering, and AIUB) as the program started. He congratulated all the supervisors and the students for presenting such marvelous work and appreciated their tremendous effort. Further, He encouraged the students to ensure their project is efficient and cost effective to produce a beneficial outcome to the consumers and concluded his speech by wishing everyone a lucrative career ahead. Afterwards, there was an interactive segment where the students were cherishing their early memories of AIUB. Moreover, the audiences were on cloud nine to catch the sight of the wonderful song performances and vibrant dance performed by the ACES committee members. Followed by the cultural program, raffle draw event was held which was inaugurated by Mr. Safayat Ahmed (Motivator, ACES; Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Mr. Kawshik Shikder (Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Mr. Ahmed Mortuza Saleque (Assistant Professor, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), and Mr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan (Head, Department of CoE & Senior Assistant Professor, Department of EEE & CoE).  

At the ending part of the event, the prize ceremony took place for the poster competition where the top-3 placeholders were provided with the certificate of acknowledgement in the presence of Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman (Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abdul Mannan ( Head , Department of EEE), Mr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan ((Head, Department of CoE & Senior Assistant Professor, Department of EEE & CoE), Mr. Chowdhury Akram Hossain (Senior Assistant Professor, Department of EEE and CoE and Special Assistant, OSA, AIUB) Mr. Kawshik Shikder (Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Mr. Safayat Ahmed (Motivator, ACES; Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) and Mr. Ahmed Mortuza Saleque (Assistant Professor, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB). Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman (Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) gave a closing speech, where he inspired the students to elevate their knowledge by working thoroughly on the project and motivated the students to pursue their higher studies in order to contribute beneficent assets to Bangladesh as an entrepreneur. Finally, he announced the four group which was nominated for the Vice Chancellor Award. The incredible program came to an end with a group photo. The entire event was a great success due to the immense support from the project & thesis supervisors and external supervisors of EEE and CoE department of AIUB.
