AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES) organized the Final Defense Program of Fall 2019-2020 semester titled as “Celebration of Capstone Project & Thesis Completion” in the Multipurpose hall of AIUB which was supported by the faculty members of EEE & CoE department.

Around 44 groups participated in the final defense program where the participants defended their projects before their respective supervisors, externals and other faculty members. After the successful completion of the defense, a poster competition was held among all the groups where the judges assessed all the posters and inquired on the concept related to the poster to the specific group members. Afterward, all the participants were acknowledged with a crest as a means of appreciation for successfully completing their capstone project. The program started with the speech of Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Siddique Hossain (Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) where he congratulated the students for their efficacious completion of the capstone project and thesis and encouraged them to keep up the hard work that will eventually help them to create a bright career in the future. After that, the cultural program was held where the melodious song and spectacular dance performances were performed by the ACES members which created an entertaining moment for the audience.

After the end of the cultural program, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman (Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan (Director, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Nafiz Ahmed Chisty (Associate Professor, Department of EEE & CoE & Head In-Charge (UG), Department of EEE, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan (Head, Department of CoE & Associate Professor, Department of EEE & CoE, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) were requested to come forward to present the top-3 groups of poster competition with the certificate of acknowledgement. Finally, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman (Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) announced the name of the three groups who were nominated for the Vice Chancellor Award in Fall 2019-2020 session. Then, the raffle draw program was held which was inaugurated by Dr. M. Tanseer Ali (Senior Assistant Professor & Special Assistant, Capstone Project, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Dr. Md. Rifat Hazari (Assistant Professor, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Kawshik Shikder (Assistant Professor, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Abir Ahmed (Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Mr. Md. Shahariar Parvez (Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB). The remarkable program came to an end with a group photo. The entire event was a great success due to the enormous support from the capstone project & thesis supervisors and external supervisors of EEE and CoE department of AIUB.
