On May 26, 2022, AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES) organised “Celebration of Capstone Project Completion” program for the Spring 2021-22 semester which was supported by the Faculty of Engineering, AIUB. This remarkable program was held in the Multipurpose Hall, Building-D of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB).

A total of 31 groups participated in the final defense program and defended their projects in front of their respective supervisors, externals, and other faculty members. Following the successful completion of the defense, all the groups competed in a poster competition, where the judges evaluated all the posters. Following that, each participant was given a crest as a token of appreciation for completing their capstone project successfully. Afterwards, a cultural event took place in which ACES members performed melodic songs and remarkable dance performances, providing an outstanding experience for the audience.

The award ceremony commenced with the speech of Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Siddique Hossain (Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) where he congratulated the students on their successful completion of the capstone project and inspired them to keep working to solve global issues at large that would eventually benefit them to build a technologically advanced community.

Later on, Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Siddique Hossain (Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman (Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan (Director, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Dr. Mohammad Nasir Uddin (Senior Associate Professor, Head [Graduate Program] Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Mr. Nafiz Ahmed Chisty (Associate Professor, Head-In Charge [Undergraduate Program], Faculty of Engineering, AIUB),  and Mr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan (Associate Professor, Head, Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB)  were requested to come forward to present the Top-3 groups of Poster Competition with the certificate of acknowledgement. Finally, Mr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan announced the name of the three groups who are nominated for the Vice Chancellor Award for Spring 2022 semester.

Afterwards, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman (Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) congratulated all the students and praised their dedication for overcoming the challenges of the hybrid work experience created by Covid-19. The remarkable program came to an end with a group photo. The entire event was a great success due to the enormous support from the capstone project & thesis supervisors and external supervisors of EEE and CoE department of AIUB.
