On Tuesday, August 11, 2026, the AIUB Business Club (ABC) successfully organized its career-focused flagship initiative, "Banking & Beyond", in collaboration with City Bank PLC at the Multipurpose Hall, Annex-7, American International University-Bangladesh. Designed to bridge the gap between academia and the corporate landscape, the event drew a packed audience of students eager to gain real-world industry perspectives, corporate career guidance, and meaningful networking opportunities. Ms. Asma Abul Khair and Mr. Samin Noor hosted the event seamlessly, keeping the audience engaged throughout.

Prof. Dr. Md. Faridul Alam, Director, Graduate Programs, FBA, delivered an impactful opening speech, highlighting the critical importance of industry-academia collaboration and emphasizing how platforms like "Banking & Beyond" equip students with essential practical knowledge and the corporate grooming needed to excel in today's competitive job market. Closing the formal segment, Mr. Md. Javed Tariq, Director, Office of Placement and Alumni, AIUB, delivered a vote of thanks, thanking the guests, organizers, and attendees for making the initiative a success.

Adding a dynamic element to the afternoon, City Bank PLC hosted an interactive quiz session to test the students' quick thinking and engagement, rewarding the top three performers with special gifts.

The event concluded with an engaging Q&A segment, followed by a token of appreciation presented to the corporate guests of City Bank PLC, and faculty members and officials from AIUB.
