The American International University-Bangladesh through the Center for Research, Planning and Development (CRPD) organized a seminar on Leadership vis-à-vis Nation Building in Bangladesh Perspective: a Conceptual Study. Brigadier General G M Quamrul Islam, Director, Movement & Quartering Directorate, Army Headquarters, Dhaka Cantonment was the distinguished speaker of the seminar held last 13 February in the university campus. The speaker has presented and discussed some new dimensions of Leadership underscoring the Bangladesh context. He also cited his extensive experience with the Military as an army officer occupying and performing various functions here and abroad. At the end of his interesting and substantive discussion, the faculty and students were enthusiastic to ask questions which covers the different aspects or areas where leadership is a vital function in politics, religion, military, corporate and other sectors. The seminar was attended by selected students and faculty from the Faculty of Business Administration and also from the administration. Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration and Senior Asso. Vice President of CRPD delivered a warm welcome to the speaker, faculty, students, and guests. On behalf of the university, Dr. Charles also presented together with the BBA Program Director, Mr. AK Nazmul , Dr. Nisar Ahmed, MBA/EMBA Director and Mr. Shahidullah, Special Project Director the Certificate of Appreciation and Souvenir to the distinguished speaker, Big.
