Boshonto Uthshob 1430 by APAC at AIUB

As winter's slumber softly fades, and the world awakens in a vibrant burst of color, the air is full of joyous anticipation for the Pohela Falgun, marking the beginning of spring in the Bengali calendar. A time for renewal, festivity, and a celebration of our vibrant cultural heritage, it is celebrated every year with positivity at the American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB).

Keeping with the tradition, this year, the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) presented AIUB Performing Arts Club (APAC)’s “Boshonto Uthshob 1430”, adding its own verse to the symphony of festivities with a captivating concert dedicated to the spirit of Pohela Falgun on the 14th of February 2024. The evening air was filled with the rhythmic beats, the soulful melodies, and the playful tunes of Bengali songs and dances, old and new, as an incredible showcase of musical performances.

The concert did not just celebrate the changing of seasons, but embraced the spirit of rejuvenation, together with the entire student community on campus. The amphitheater bursting in hues of red and yellow, brimming with the students dressed in the iconic colors of Pohela Falgun, reverberated in the sounds of our Bengali culture’s artistic expressions through the musical performances that had everyone swaying and singing along, truly bringing in the occasion to life. The campus and its students are not strangers to the magic that APAC creates every time on stage, and AIUB takes great pride in nurturing such amazing young talents, today and tomorrow.
