BOOK LAUNCHING : Introduction to Business
The Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) organized a book launching ceremony of the book entitled: INTRODUCTION TO BUSINESS on Tuesday, 10 September 2013 in Campus 1 auditorium. The simple ceremony was attended by the faculty, students, families of the authors and friends. The honorable Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva delivered a welcome message congratulating the two authors Dr. Kamrul Hasan and Ms. Farheen Hassan for their efforts to produce a book on Introduction to Business. The book has been developed based on western theory but with application based on Bangladesh perspectives. The Dean also emphasized the professional value of this book as the authorship of this will be considered for faculty ranking. He also encouraged the other faculty members to embark on writing a book on the course they are teaching. The management will provide the necessary technical and financial support, if needed. The book was formally launched by the Director of BBA, Mr. AK Nazmul witnessed by the Dean of FBA, the authors and members of their respective families. Dr. Sarwar Uddin Ahmed, Dean, School of Business of the International University of Bangladesh (IUB) was the chief guest who at the same time delivered a brief review of the book. He congratulated the authors for their resourcefulness and initiative in producing the book. Ms. Farheen Hassan , Head, Department of Management and one of the authors conveyed the vote of thanks to the participants who provided strong moral support and inspiration to the success of the event.
