On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, the Management Department of the Faculty of Business Administration at American International University-Bangladesh held a seminar titled " Be Your Own Boss: Transforming Passion into Enterprise". Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Director of the Graduate Program at the Faculty of Business Administration, gave an opening speech to start the event. Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain, advisor and dean-in-charge of the American International University-Bangladesh's Faculty of Business Administration, shared his valuable speech to encourage the participants. Undergraduate students in the Entrepreneurship development course, Innovation and entrepreneurship development course and participants of Business Plan Exhibition were the target group. The event's major goal was to encourage young people in Bangladesh to think like business owners. The program tries to meet SDG objective 8, which is to promote long-term, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth and make sure that everyone has a job that they can do well and that is acceptable. The seminar started at 12:30 p.m. in the Auditorium and went on for an hour and a half.

Mr. Kazi Jamil Islam, Managing Director, Lotto Bangladesh was present as guest speaker. He mesmerized the audience with his engaging speech to encourage the young undergraduate students to become entrepreneurs. He also outlined guidelines for crafting effective business ideas and entrepreneurial initiatives. The topic was captivating and enlightening, centering on the personal path of a successful entrepreneur in Bangladesh. The resource speaker motivated the pupils to engage in business. He also elaborated on the inception of the firm and the role of entrepreneurs in enhancing the nation's economy. The discussion ended with an engaging question-and-answer round. The students actively engaged in the seminar, while the speaker expressed his sincere gratitude to the Department of Management for the invitation and hospitality.

At the end of the session Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Director BBA program, gave his vote of thanks by expressing his gratitude and presented a certificate of appreciation along with mementos to the distinguished guest. Mrs. Bohi Shajahan, Head of the Finance Department, Nabila Wahid, Lecturer, Department of Finance, was present at the seminar among academic members. Certificates and crests were awarded to the winners of the business plan exhibition at the end of the program. Mrs. Samia Shabnaz, Senior Assistant Professor Department of Management and Nabila Nur Joya, Lecturer, Department of Management, coordinated the event.
