The Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) and Office of Placement & Alumni (OPA) recently organized a Farewell Program for BBA students & Exit Survey, marking the culmination of the academic journey for its outgoing students. Held on July 03, 2025, at the Multipurpose Hall of Annex 7, AIUB, program integrated an exit survey session with a heartfelt farewell celebration. Prior to the main event, on the very same day, the graduating students actively participated in presenting their diligently prepared internship reports and engaging in subsequent viva. This preliminary session provided a vital platform for students to showcase the practical application of their theoretical knowledge and research skills gained throughout their BBA tenure. Following these presentations, approximately one hundred BBA students completed the detailed exit survey. This survey, an integral part of the program, was specifically structured to gather valuable feedback based on their extensive research and overall academic experience, providing the faculty with insightful perspectives for continuous improvement and curriculum enhancement. The event underscored the university's commitment to both academic rigor and student well-being, ensuring a reflective and celebratory departure for its esteemed graduates.
The formal proceedings of the BBA Farewell Program & Exit Survey commenced with a warm and inspiring welcome speech delivered by Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Director of the Undergraduate Program, FBA, AIUB. Her address set a positive tone for the event, acknowledging the achievements of the graduating cohort and wishing them success in their future endeavors. Following the welcome, Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain, serving as the Advisor and Dean-in-Charge of the Faculty of Business Administration, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his insightful remarks, Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain shared profound wisdom and guidance, emphasizing the importance of ethical leadership and continuous learning in the professional world. Mr. Roomee Tareque Moudud, FCMA, Director of Office of Placement & Alumni (OPA), AIUB, delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the vast opportunities awaiting the graduates and the importance of leveraging their AIUB education to make a meaningful impact in the professional world. He encouraged them to embrace lifelong learning and stay connected with their alma mater, highlighting the continued support available through the OPA.
The program was further enriched by the presence and speeches of several distinguished special guests, all notable alumni of AIUB, who returned to share their invaluable experiences. Mr. Shubhashis Gupta CSCA, Manager-Procurement Operations at Unilever Bangladesh Ltd., captivated the audience with his journey. He was joined by Mr. Md. Arifur Rahman Khan, Supply Chain Manager Operations at Marks & Spencer Bangladesh Sourcing Office, and Mr. Mohammed Saiful Islam, the visionary Founder & CEO of Invicta Solutions Ltd. Each of these accomplished individuals highlighted, with compelling anecdotes and personal reflections, how their foundational education and diverse experiences at AIUB had significantly contributed to and shaped their successful career trajectories. Their narratives served as powerful testaments to the quality of education and holistic development fostered within the university, providing immense inspiration and practical insights to the graduating students.
Adding a deep personal touch to the farewell proceedings, several BBA students courageously stepped forward to share some of their most cherished and wonderful memories forged during their time at AIUB. The event culminated with the insightful closing remarks and a comprehensive vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Professor and Director of the Graduate Program (MBA & EMBA) at AIUB. Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam's address thoughtfully summarized the day's events and extended appreciation to all participants, guests, and organizers for their contributions. The program was coordinated by Mr. Mehzabul Hoque Nahid, a Senior Assistant Professor and the Department Head of the Department of Management Information System. The flow of the program was presented by MD NUR AL AHAD, Lecturer in the Department of Management Information Systems, FBA, AIUB, who guided the audience through each agenda item.
