In 2026, American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) continued its progress toward academic excellence with the successful completion of the External Quality Assessment (EQA) site visit conducted by the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) for the B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Program. The three-day visit, held from 04 to 06 May 2026, represented an important milestone in the university’s ongoing efforts in quality assurance and pursuit of national accreditation.

AIUB was honored to welcome the distinguished EQA team led by Professor Dr. M. Moynul Haque, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Gazipur Agricultural University, as the Head of the team, along with Professor Dr. Md. Mostafizer Rahman as Member (QA) and Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdullah Al Mumin as Member (Subject). During the visit, the team conducted a comprehensive and systematic review of academic, administrative, and support systems of the CSE program in line with the BAC accreditation framework. The IQAC Team led by Prof. Dr. Farheen Hassan, SFHEA, Director-IQAC and Program Self-Assessment Committee (PSAC) of CSE program worked jointly to facilitate a thoroughly productive EQA site visit.

Throughout the visit, the EQA team engaged in meaningful discussions with Professor Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor, AIUB, Professor Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro Vice Chancellor, AIUB, faculty members, students, alumni, employers and High officials and representatives from various administrative offices. The evaluation also included classroom observations, laboratory visits, document reviews, and visits to key campus facilities, which provided a comprehensive understanding and enriched the assessment process of the teaching and learning environment of AIUB. The visit concluded with a formal exit meeting attended by the Pro Vice Chancellor of AIUB, Dean-FST, Associate Dean-FST, Director-FST, Director-IQAC, PSAC members, and the IQAC team. The session provided valuable feedback and reinforced the university’s commitment to continuous quality enhancement.
