The VC, chaired the board meeting of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) as the outgoing President, together with Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin.  A joint meeting of the Fund Raising Committee and the University Quality Assurance/Ranking were held in the afternoon.  Induction of the new officers and board members was held in the evening. Discussed were: (1) The Center for the Professional Lifelong Education and Languages has now centers in China, Thailand and the Philippines. The Center offers courses ranging from soft skills to professional skills. (2) Two working committees have been currently formed namely:  Fund Raising Committee which will develop strategic plans for funds acquisition to enable the AUAP to accomplish more useful projects as well as to support our existing programs and the Committee on Quality Assurance which is responsible for the establishment of QA criteria or system of ranking among member universities of the AUAP.
