The Architecture Department of AIUB is delighted to share the achievement of its alumna, Shahira Sarwat. Shahira has been awarded the prestigious MAECI (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation) Scholarship by the Government of Italy to pursue her Master’s at Politecnico di Milano, one of Europe’s leading institutions in architecture and engineering. Notably, this year, six outstanding students from Bangladesh have been selected for this highly competitive scholarship.

This opportunity will allow her to delve deeper into her key areas of focus: Performance Modeling and Design in Building Engineering, enabling her to offer efficient and practical approaches to architecture and construction.

Shahira graduated from AIUB in 2024 and was a recipient of the Vice Chancellor’s Award. She has since gained valuable professional experience in sustainable construction and design, while also contributing as a part-time faculty at AIUB.

AIUB celebrates her extraordinary accomplishments and looks forward to the positive impact she will bring to her field on a global scale. Her achievements will surely serve as an inspiration to other AIUB students.
