Architecture Freshmen Orientation and Film Show at AIUB auditorium Spring 2009

Students and faculties from Department of Architecture, AIUB shared a splendid evening with freshmen enrolled for Spring 2009 on 17th Feb Tuesday at the AIUB auditorium.  The department was privileged to have Honorable Vice-President of Academic Affairs and Dean Prof. Dr. T. Hossain, Honorable Pro-vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain, Honorable Associate Dean Prof. Dr. Hasan Imtiaz Chowdhury, the Head of Architecture Department Prof. Dr. Salehuddin, and Coordinator of Architecture Mr. Arefeen Ibrahim. The event was staged in two parts. In the first part senior students performed in a vivid cultural show dedicated to the new comers. The freshmen of the AIUB architecture were received with wrist-bands by their elder ones. This was followed by refreshment.   In the second part Prof. Dr. Saleh Uddin shared some student works from USA and also he commenced the Film Show. The Film was about a student-built house from Tulane School of Architecture, New Orleans, Louisiana. It was fantastic to watch students tackling the whole game of architectural design into implementation level.
