Architecture Department Hosts Hybrid Jury of Thesis Studio

For the first time, due to Pandemic, Department of Architecture has arranged hybrid (offline & online) thesis Jury of final year students [Fall 2021-22 semester] on 11^th and 12^th January 2022. The event was streamed live for AIUB and other architecture schools' students, alumni, and interested audiences.

Studio mentors Ar. Ashik Vaskor Mannan and Ar. Md Tarek Morad, as well as the Head - Ar. Arefeen Ibrahim and their respective thesis supervisors, guided the students throughout the semester. A large number of distinguished external jurors, including architects and academics from both home and abroad, adorned the Jury Panel. Their insightful remarks on the design projects aided the students in better understanding the potential and limitations of their projects from various perspectives.

Many of the designs received high praise from the jurors for their creativity and innovative ideas. Successful public events like this are important for graduating students to gain more recognition and better career prospects. This also helps to establish a resourceful connection between profession and academia.

The Department of Architecture is grateful for the assistance of the external jurors, practicing architects, participants, students, and the University Administration, and would like to use this opportunity to wish the fresh architects from AIUB a very bright and successful future.
