During their visit to Bangladesh for  5-day long “ARCASIA Forum 20” event in Dhaka ,  a delegation from the Architects' Regional Council Asia (ARCASIA) also visited the Department of Architecture here at the American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB). ‘ Design Talk’- an interactive session with Architecture students was arranged on the 4^th of November 2019 on the campus premises. Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, the Vice President for Academics and the Dean for Faculty of Business Administration presented the welcome address for the delegation.

10 delegates from Philippines, Nepal, India, Malaysia, Thailand and Bangladesh, along with Mr. M. Arefeen Ibrahim, Head  of Architecture Department at AIUB, shared their respective insights, experiences, and policies. They discussed challenges and opportunities in the field of Architecture in today’s digitally transformative world with the students.  Ar. Ardrianta Aziz, a delegate from the Malaysian Institute of Architects (Deputy Chair Elect of ARCASIA), facilitated the session. With a vote of thanks from Prof. Dr. Siddique Hossain, the Dean of Faculty of Engineering, the lively event ended highlighting the importance of the visit, inspiring the students in pursuit of their careers in Architecture.
