AQAC COORDINATOR AND MEMBERS PARTICIPATED IN THE SEMINAR ON QUALITY ASSURANCE AND ENHANCEMENT IN HIGHER EDUCATION…
The British Council Bangladesh and The University Grants Commission extended invitation to the university for participation in the Seminar on “Quality Assurance and Enhancement in Higher Education: Experience in the UK and Possible Implications for Bangladesh” held on March 2, 2011 at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Project INSPIRE ( International Strategic Partnerships in Research and Education) is a British Council Funded project sponsored the seminar which was participated in by the Vice Chancellors and other Senior officials of both the private and public universities. Dr. Robert William Munn, Professor Emeritus of Chemical Physics, University of Manchester, United Kingdom designed and delivered the workshop as consultant. The Honorable Mr. Nurul Islam Nahid, MP, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Education, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest and inaugurated the workshop and Prof. Nazrul Islam, Chairman, University Grants Commission of Bangladesh presided over the session. The AIUB participants to the seminar were Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration and overall coordinator AQAC, Mr. Bikash Barua, Asst. Professor and Member of the AQAC and Ms. Afroza Nahar, Asst. Professor and also Member of the AQAC. The seminar has provided additional insights, dimensions and experience in quality assurance.
