Bidding farewell to the alumni, and welcoming the new members, AIUB’s Society of Human Resource Management [SHRM] held their Fall Orientation & Farewell Ceremony on the 15th of September 2014. The program was opened with a video on the SHRM, followed by speeches from the respected guests. A cultural program and game-show was put up on the occasion. The crests and certificates were distributed amongst the alumni members, who in turn shared their experiences and good wishes with the new members. The president also addressed the recruits, wishing them luck on their journey in SHRM. The bitter-sweet moment left everyone nostalgic yet hopeful, looking forward to their 5th Year Celebration. The founding anniversary of SHRM was commemorated on the 10th of November 2014. The entire campus took on the look of the festivities with the balloon and festoon decorations. Dr. Ehsan Uddin Ahmed, the Associate Dean for the Faculty of Business Administration, inaugurated the event, along with Mr. Roomee Tareque Moudud, the Director of the Office of Placement & Alumni, Mr. A.K. Nazmul, the Director of the BBA Program, and Mrs. Farheen Hassan, the Head of the Department of Management, and other faculty members who were present at the ceremony. The program opened with a workshop on Resume Writing, conducted by Mr. Moudud, followed by a seminar on Health & Safety with Mr. Hasan Taiab Imam, the HR Manager of Bengal Group. A cultural program was also arranged with dance and music, along with another seminar that played host to Mr. Mahmudur Rahman, a renowned Communications Specialist. The closing ceremony gave a vote of thanks from SHRM to all those present, and ended the event on the note that the members would continue working on taking SHRM and AIUB to new heights in the years to come.
