AIUB JOB FAIR 2016
American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB) organized the annual AIUB Job Fair 2016 on Saturday, December 03, 2016 at the AIUB FBA Building, Banani, Dhaka. The fair was inaugurated at 10:30 AM by the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, along with the Founder & Vice President of Student Affairs, Mrs. Nadia Anwar. The program continued throughout the day and came to a close around 4:00PM. More than 90 renowned national and multinational companies participated in the program like IT firms, software firms, telecommunications, networking solution providers, pharmaceuticals, and financial institutions, call centers, real-estate developers, job portals, agro-based companies, FMCGs, development organizations, airlines, accessories and equipment companies, and many more. Dr. Lamagna and Mrs. Anwar visited the various stalls and expressed their gratitude to all the participating companies.
The AIUB Job Fair is organized every year to create a platform for the AIUB Alumni and current students to facilitate their career paths into the job market. This flagship event has been hosted by the Office of Placement and Alumni, under the leadership and guidance of the AIUB Management, headed by Dr. Lamagna, the Vice Chancellor, Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin, the Founder & Chairman, Dr. Hasanul A. Hasan, the Founder, Treasurer, & Vice President (HRD), and Ms. Anwar, the Founder & Vice President (Student Affairs). Among others, the Vice President (Academics), Prof Dr. Tafazzal Hossain, the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, the Registrar, Prof. M.A. Quaiyum, along with the Faculty Deans, Program Directors, Departmental Heads, faculty members, and other senior officials were present during the event. With the bustling number of organizations and students proactively participating in the day-long program, the event was without a doubt, a huge success.
