The American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) was recognized as one of the Top 5 winners of the University Innovation Exhibition Award at the Bangladesh Innovation Fair 2026. AIUB received the recognition among more than 70 participating public and private universities from across Bangladesh. Organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, the fair was held from 12–14 September 2026 at the Novo Theatre, Dhaka, under the theme “Innovate to Market.” The event brought together universities, researchers, innovators, industries, investors, policymakers, government officials, educators, and students to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and the transformation of research and technological ideas into practical and market-oriented solutions. During the three-day event, AIUB showcased a diverse range of innovative capstone projects, prototypes, and technology-driven solutions developed by its students, faculty members, and researchers.  

The AIUB stall attracted significant attention from distinguished guests, government officials, industry representatives, investors, academics, researchers, and visitors. Mr. Faqir Mahbub Anam, MP, Minister for Posts and Telecommunications, IT Ministry, and Science and Technology Ministry, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh; and Mr. Md. Anwar Hossain, Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh; visited the AIUB stall and observed the innovative projects and technological solutions showcased by the university.

The projects displayed at the AIUB stall were evaluated by a panel of judges based on their innovation, relevance, practical application, and potential impact. Among more than 70 public and private universities participating from across Bangladesh, only five universities were selected for the University Innovation Exhibition Award, making this recognition a significant achievement for AIUB.
