The Freshman student Orientation (Except LLB and BPharm) for the Fall 2026–2027 academic session at the American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) was held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, on the university campus. The event warmly welcomed newly admitted students across various undergraduate programs, alongside their parents and guardians. It served as an important platform to introduce students to AIUB’s academic policies, campus rules and regulations, and the wide range of resources available to support their educational journey.

Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain, Advisor and Dean (In-Charge), Faculty of Business Administration (FBA); Prof. Dr. ABM Siddique Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Engineering (FE); and Prof. Dr. Dip Nandi, Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) attended the session and addressed the audience with words of encouragement and guidance for the upcoming semester. They highlighted the features of their respective faculties, outlining academic expectations, degree programs, and growth opportunities available to the incoming batch.  

They were joined by other key academic leaders who also addressed the new students, including Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan, Associate Dean, FE; Dr. Faria Sultana, Associate Dean, FASS; Prof. Dr. Saniat Rahman Zishan, Director, FE; Prof. Dr. Partha Prasad Chowdhury, Director In-Charge, BBA; Dr. Md. Saef Ullah Miah, Director, FST; Mr. Arefeen Ibrahim, Head, Department of Architecture; Dr. Md. Ehasanul Haque, Head, Department of Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE); Mr. Nafiz Ahmed Chisty, Head, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE); Prof. Dr. Muftikhar Ahmed, Head (In-Charge), Department of Microbiology; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nazir Hossain, Head (In-Charge), Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology; Prof. Dr. Pradip Kumar Panday, Head, Department of Journalism & Mass Communication (JMC); Dr. Prodhan Mahbub Ibne Seraj, Head, Department of English; and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Firoz Mridha, Head (Undergraduate Program), FST.

Informative orientation sessions were conducted by Prof. Dr. Manzur H Khan, Proctor; Dr. Ziarat H. Khan, Deputy Director, Office of Student Affairs (OSA); Prof. Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Director, MBA Program; Dr. Chowdhury Akram Hossain, Head, Department of Computer Engineering; and Mr. Stanley Sumon Rodrick, Special Assistant (OSA), FBA. They were supported by OSA faculty representatives from different faculties—Dr. Abhijit Bhowmik, Mr. Sharfuddin Mahmood, Mr. Shahariar Parvez, Mr. Tamim Hossain, Mr. S. M. Abdullah Shafi, Ms. Sifat Rahman Ahona, and Mr. Md. Mazid-Ul-Haque—as well as Mr. Rakib Aziz, Officer, OSA.

Throughout the day, various AIUB Student Clubs set up information stalls to engage with the newcomers and share details about co-curricular activities. The orientation concluded with a vibrant cultural performance by the AIUB Performing Arts Club (APAC) at the campus Amphitheater, marking a memorable start to the new academic year.
