AIUB team attains the 1st Runner-Up position at the BRAND WITZ 2008

AIUB team attains the 1st Runner-Up position at the BRAND WITZ 2008, organized by the Institute of Business Administration (IBA). An Inter Business School Marketing Competition was held from July 31 to August 15, 2008. This competition brought together the promising students from the leading Public & Private Universities of the country. 24 teams from 15 Public & Private Universities participated in the BRAND WITZ 2008 competition. Mr. Md. Istiaq Hossain Khan, Ms. Sadaf Ahmed & Mr. Md. Jabed Rahman, the three Marketing Major students of BBA program represented AIUB team at this competition. The preliminary round of 24 teams was held on August 01, 2008 at IBA followed by Semi Final round with only 6 teams held on August 02, 2008 at the IBA Auditorium. AIUB was the only Private University to qualify for the Semi Final and GRAND FINALE. The GRAND FINALE was among 3 teams that qualified for the Final Round. AIUB, IBA and Khulna University were the competing teams. IBA and Khulna University were crowned the Joint Champions of BRAND WITZ 2008 and AIUB obtained the 1st Runner-Up position. Professor S.M.A. Faiz, Vice-Chancellor, University of Dhaka, Mr. Syed Manzur Elahi, Former Advisor to the Caretaker Government of Bangladesh & Mr. Rakesh Mohan, Chairman & Managing Director of Unilever Bangladesh Ltd. were the Chief Guests of this GRAND FINALE. Mr. Naushad Chowdhury, Director BRANDS, Unilever Bangladesh Ltd., Mr. Mamun Rashid, Banker & Economic Analyst and Mr. Mushtaque Ahmed, Managing Director of Marks & Allys Ltd. and Net Value were the Judges of this Final event. AIUB family CONGRATULATES the three participants for bringing Pride & Glory to the University.
