- Next Round: WICE 2025 International – Malaysia
The national round, organized by Dreams of Bangladesh, co-organized by TechAutocrats, and powered by IYSA, saw the participation of 99 teams across five competitive segments:
- Innovative Social Science
- Information Technology & Robotics
- Environmental Science
- Applied Physics & Engineering
- Applied Life Science
Team AeroHarvest, representing AIUB in the Applied Life Science category, showcased their groundbreaking project titled "AeroHarvest: Revolutionizing Agriculture with Aerial Crop Yield Prediction".
This project involves the development of an advanced drone system that captures aerial footage from rice fields. The collected data was used to build a custom dataset, which trained a machine learning model to detect rice panicles and accurately predict crop yields. This innovative approach holds immense potential to assist farmers and agricultural planners with data-driven insights for better yield management.
Team AeroHarvest secured the Gold Medal (Champion) in their category and secured the opportunity of representing Bangladesh at the international round of WICE 2025 to be held in Malaysia.
AIUB congratulates the team members for their exceptional achievement and thus bringing recognition to the university and Bangladesh on a global platform.
