AIUB T20 World Cup 2011 Cricket Tournament

On April 3, 2011 the AIUB T20 World Cup 2011 Cricket Tournament was inaugurated by Honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain at the Gulshan Youth Club Field.  12 teams from all the departments of AIUB are taking part in the tournament under different names of the cricket playing nations of the ICC World Cup. In the opening match of this 10 day long tournament, Architecture (New Zealand) and BBA Green (South Africa) played against each other. At the opening ceremony, along with the students and other high officials of the university Prof. Dr. Charles Villanueva, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration, Dr. Ehsanul Huda, BBA Program Director, Mr. Lutfar Rahma, Director, PR & Legal, Mr. Manzur H Khan, Director, Student Affairs, Mr. Ziarat H. Khan, Deputy Director, Student Affairs, Mr. Sabbiruddin, Deputy Director, Administration, Dr. Silverine DeSilva, Assistant Director, OSA, Mr. Partho (Faculty member, EEE) & Mr. Ridwan (Faculty Member, CS), OSA Representatives were also present. In the opening match South Africa (BBA GREEN) beat New Zealand (Architecture) by 90 runs.
