A team of exceptional students from the American International University–Bangladesh has brought great honor to the institution by winning the Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Economics, Business, and Technology Management (ICEBTM) 2025, held on 14–15 November 2025 and organized by the School of Business & Entrepreneurship (SBE), Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB).
The award-winning team — Md. Tazuare Rahman Rahad, Rimtaha Saima Nushin, Sammi Akter, Sveda Farhin Rodela, and Md. Shahed Hossan Sarker — received this honor for their research paper titled “Evaluating Undergraduate Students’ Employment Preferences: A Comparative Analysis of Salary, Work-Life Balance, and Organizational Sustainability” which was supervised by Md. Mortuza Ahmmed, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics
Their paper stood out among 206 accepted papers from universities and research organizations worldwide. ICEBTM 2025 featured six thematic tracks, and only one Best Paper was selected from each track — making the team’s achievement especially significant, as their work earned one of these distinguished awards.
The study provided valuable insights into the evolving priorities of undergraduate students as they prepared to enter the job market. By comparing salary expectations, work–life balance needs, and the importance of sustainability in organizational practices, the research highlighted the shifting preferences of the next generation of professionals.
ICEBTM 2025 served as a dynamic global platform for researchers, academics, and industry leaders to exchange ideas and discuss new developments in Business, Technology, and Entrepreneurship. With the theme “Sustainability-Focused Industry Trends in Global Research,” the conference emphasized the rising importance of sustainability and innovation in shaping future industry directions.
