A group of students, Ashiqur Rahman Saron and Hasin Almas Sifat from the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) won the Best Paper Award at the prestigious International Conference on Computer, Information Technology and Intelligent Computing (CITIC 2025) in conjunction with Digital Futures International Congress 2025 (DIFCON2025), held from 21–23 July 2025 at the Multimedia University (MMU), Cyberjaya, Malaysia.

The awarded research, titled "Using Deep Learning Techniques for Image-to-Bangla Natural Language Text Generation to Improve Mobility for the Visually Impaired in Bangladesh", was selected as the best among more than 350 papers presented by participants from various countries, marking a significant academic achievement for AIUB on the international stage.

This outstanding work is the result of a collaborative research effort between AIUB and MMU, Malaysia. The student team was jointly supervised by Mr. Mortuza Ahammed, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, and Dr. Md Saef Ullah Miah, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Additional Director, AIUB-IQAC. This recognition not only highlights the research excellence of our students but also reflects AIUB’s strong commitment to academic collaboration and innovation across borders.
