A group of talented students from the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) has brought pride to the institution by securing top honors at the 1st National BioMed Health ResearchCon 2025, held on 28–29 August 2025 at Dr. Milon Auditorium, Dhaka Medical College, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
- The team comprising Faiza Mahmood Aroni, Ashiqur Rahman Saron, Hasin Almas Sifat, and Chayti Rani Mondal won one of the Top 5 Research Proposal Awards. Their proposal, “Analyzing the Potential of an AI Counseling System for Student Mental Health,” was recognized as the best among more than 74 submissions from leading universities and medical colleges across Bangladesh.
- Another group of students, Shorme Rani Saha and Sumit Paul, earned the Best Poster Award for their presentation titled “Climate-Sensitive Disease Burdens in Bangladesh: Integrating Climate Adaptation into Public Health Planning.” This recognition came from a pool of 134 posters.
- Additionally, the team of Md. Rifat Hossain, Azin Akter, Sujit Kumar Nondy, and Shahriar Alam was also placed among the Top 5 Posters, further strengthening AIUB’s presence at the conference.
These achievements reflect not only the students’ dedication and innovation but also AIUB’s growing prominence in impactful research. The teams were supervised by Md. Mortuza Ahmmed, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, whose guidance was instrumental in their success.
