AIUB student is Champion of the National Digital Innovation Award 2011 contest, as the category of m-Science & Technology

Transformer Protection from unauthorized person, an undergraduate project of EEE department under the Faculty of Engineering received one of the eleven champion awards at the Digital Innovation Fair that ended in Dhaka recently organized by the ICT ministry and Access to Information (A2I) project of the Prime Minister's office on July 6-8.The project was selected for award out of 34 categories from both public and private sectors. The project also received VC's award in the convocation. Its application by Rural Electrification Board (REB) and other power distribution companies can save tens of crores of Taka every year by stopping transformer thefts, particularly in rural areas of Bangladesh.
