AIUB Student Clubs Homage to the Shaheed Minar

On 21st February 2011, all student clubs of AIUB with the support of the Office of Student Affairs participated with the rest of the country to pay homage to the brave souls of our Language Movement in 1952. At dawn, members of AIUB Drama Club, AIUB Performing Arts Club, AIUB Arts Club, AIUB Film Club, AIUB Social Welfare Club- Shomoy, AIUB Photography Club, AIUB Business Club gathered at ‘Polashir Mor’ and started the procession towards the Shaheed Minar. Mr. Manzur H Khan, Director, Office of Student Affairs accompanied the students. AIUB Arts Club prepared different alphabets of our beloved mother tongue ‘Bangla’ in different colors that gave the whole procession a unique look. In 1999, UNESCO declared this day as the World’s International Mother Language Day and the whole world, including Bangladesh, observes this day with great honor and respect.
