Students, alumni and faculty members from the Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Science & Technology attended the IEEE Bangladesh Section Award Night and Annual Dinner 2018 representing IEEE AIUB Student Branch and American International University-Bangladesh. This grand event took place on 25^th of December 2018 at Asia Hotel & Resort, Topkhana Road, Dhaka where delegates from AIUB have received numerous awards and accolades.

IEEE AIUB Student Branch has achieved Best Student Branch – Honorable Mention award which was handed out to Moin Uddin, Chairperson, IEEE AIUB Student Branch and Mohd. Hamim, Secretary, IEEE AIUB Student Branch by Prof. Dr. Celia Shahnaz, Chairperson, IEEE Bangladesh Section; Department of EEE, BUET. The Branch also became the Winner of the IEEE Bangladesh Section SYWMC 2018 Video Contest. Moreover, IEEE AIUB Student Branch has secured the 1st Runner-Up position in the Infographic Poster Presentation Contest and also received the certificate of participation for the Cultural Contest at the IEEE Bangladesh Section SYWMC 2018.

Individuals from the student branch were also awarded for their contribution and hard work. Rafid Azad, Publications Coordinator, IEEE AIUB Student Branch was recognized for his Outstanding Performance as the Campus Ambassador at IEEE Bangladesh Section SYWMC 2018. Md. Tauhidur Rahman, Graphics Designer, IEEE AIUB Student Branch and Jobayer Ibne Azad, Treasurer, IEEE AIUB Student Branch were acknowledged for their contribution to the Student Activity Committee (SAC) team and were awarded for being the Best Performers. Md. Abu Sufian, Webmaster, IEEE AIUB Student Branch and Raihanul Haque Raihan, Event Coordinator, IEEE Young Professionals Bangladesh; Former Event Coordinator (2017), IEEE AIUB Student Branch were appreciated for their contribution to the Publicity Committee, IEEE Bangladesh Section and IEEE Young Professionals Bangladesh respectively.
