American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Krishi Shwapno Limited on August 10, 2025, to strengthen academic and research collaboration. The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor of AIUB, and Mr. Sayed Zubaer Hasan, Founder & CEO of Krishi Shwapno Limited. The signing of the MoU was coordinated by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of AIUB.
Krishi Shwapno is a youth-led agritech and cleantech startup driving a circular economy through technology and sustainability. It has already created over 200 youth-led enterprises and impacted more than 11,200 young people by providing intensive entrepreneurship training. By empowering youth to tackle local challenges with innovative solutions, Krishi Shwapno fosters job creation and sustainable growth. Through technology-driven approaches, skill development, and market access, it enables young entrepreneurs to build resilient businesses while promoting eco-friendly practices in agriculture and environment. The startup is committed to nurturing the next generation of leaders who will drive economic and community impact.
Through this partnership, both institutions aim to foster knowledge-sharing and innovation in areas of mutual interest. The MoU will enable collaborative research, curriculum enrichment, joint seminars and workshops, as well as cultural and academic exchanges involving students, faculty, and administrative staff. The cooperation will also extend to the preparation and sharing of academic publications and resources to further support the growth of both organizations.
By signing this MoU, AIUB and Krishi Shwapno Limited have opened new avenues for innovation, skill development, and sustainable impact. This partnership reflects a joint vision of contributing to the development of Bangladesh while strengthening integration into the global academic and economic landscape.
