AIUB Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Kimyo International University

American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kimyo International University in Tashkent during the QS EduData Conference, held at the iconic Marina Bay Sands as part of the QS Higher Education Summit 2026 in Singapore on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

The agreement marks an important step in strengthening international academic collaboration and fostering meaningful partnerships between the two institutions. The MoU outlines a framework for cooperation in a range of academic and institutional activities, including faculty and student exchange programs, joint educational and research initiatives, collaborative publications, participation in conferences and training programs, and the exchange of academic resources and expertise. The partnership is expected to create new opportunities for knowledge sharing, innovation, and cross-cultural engagement for students and faculty members of both universities.

The Memorandum of Understanding was formally signed by Prof. Akmal Allakuliev, Rector of Kimyo International University in Tashkent, and Prof. Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, Member of the Board of Trustees and Former Vice Chancellor of AIUB.

Representing AIUB at the signing ceremony were Prof. Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, Ms. Carlin Lamagna, Senior Assistant Professor & Deputy Director, Planning and Development and Ms. Dulce Lamagna, Senior Assistant Professor, Faculty of Business Administration. The KIUT delegation was led by Prof. Akmal Allakuliev, Rector, and included Dr. Ulugbek Vosiqov, Vice Rector, and Dr. Otabek Mukhitdinov, Head of Department, who are participating in the QS Higher Education Summit and engaging with higher education leaders and institutions from around the world.

Speaking of the significance of the partnership, representatives from both institutions expressed their commitment to advancing internationalization, academic excellence, and collaborative innovation. The agreement reflects a shared vision of preparing students and academics to thrive in an increasingly interconnected and data-driven global higher education landscape.

AIUB looks forward to working closely with Kimyo International University in Tashkent to develop impactful academic initiatives, strengthen research collaboration, and create valuable international learning experiences that will benefit both institutions and their communities for years to come.
