AIUB Secures 2ND Position in “BATTLE OF MINDS”

It has been a very eventful few weeks @ AIUB! Not only in terms of the varied range of activities going on simultaneously but also in terms of successes and accomplishments! While we were celebrating our 14 Years of existence at the same time there was the evaluation visit going on for the international accreditation of our MBA/EMBA program by the PAASCU (Philippine Association of Accrediting Schools, Colleges and Universities) Team. Coming to accomplishments - a while ago at the end of October AIUB Cisco Networking Academy secured 2nd Runner Up position in the Cisco Asia-Pacific NetRiders Competition 2009 amongst 16 other competing countries. And more recently on the 16th of November AIUB secured 1St Runner Up position in the Battle of Minds and brought home a very colorful trophy. Battle of Minds (more commonly termed as BoM) started in 2004 with only 5 Universities competing. This year 16 top Universities participated and amongst them AIUB came out with flying colors. BoM – the Business Case Solving Competition; is a unique venture by BATB as part of its CSR (Corporate Social responsibility) activity which is now being replicated by many other nations like Malaysia, Pakistan and South Korea. In Bangladesh’s context just progressing through the various stages of the competition is no ordinary fit! Because over the years it has earned a name as a Brand in itself; that has succeeded in identifying young talented, dynamic, passionate and creative individuals of this generation. The AIUB Team that participated and brought home the honor are Sajid Mahbub, Ariful Haque, Nisha A. Khan and Maruf Mehdi Hasan – our heartiest Congratulations to you all.
