Cisco Asia-Pacific NetRiders Competition 2009

AIUB Cisco Networking Academy secured 3rd place in the Cisco Asia-Pacific NetRiders Competition 2009 amongst 16 other competing countries i.e. Australia, New Zealand, China, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Republic of Korea, Vietnam, Combodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Malaysia (Multimedia University) and Sri Lanka (SLIIT) secured the 1st and 2nd position respectively. The competition was held on October 29, 2009 over Cisco’s Webex and TelePresence technology. Student’s knowledge in the field of Computer Network design, configuration and troubleshooting were tested in the half day-long event through a series of assessments. The champion team of each country consisting of 3 members who qualified through a 2009 NetRiders National Competition participated in the competition. Bangladesh was represented by 3 (three) CS graduates of AIUB namely Mohammad Saidur Rahman (Sumon), Ahmed Ridwan, and Mohammad Saiedur Rahaman (Ripon). These students have brought honor and glory to Bangladesh and to AIUB. The entire AIUB community is proud of their great achievement.
