The American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) has once again secured the 2nd position among all public and private universities in Bangladesh in the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026. AIUB also achieved an impressive 69th position globally in Decent Work and Economic Growth and 71st position globally in Quality Education. This achievement reflects the university’s continued commitment to creating a positive impact through quality education, meaningful research, and active community engagement.

In the latest rankings, AIUB earned a place in the 301–400 global tier, demonstrating its steady progress in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The university showed particularly strong performance in the areas of Decent Work and Economic Growth and Quality Education. AIUB also recorded notable achievements in Partnerships for the Goals, No Poverty, Gender Equality, and Good Health and Well-being, highlighting its dedication to promoting inclusiveness, social responsibility, and sustainable development.

The Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings are globally recognized for evaluating how universities contribute to society through education, research, sustainability initiatives, outreach activities, and collaborative partnerships. By measuring institutional performance against the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals, the rankings provide valuable insight into how universities are helping address global challenges and build a more sustainable future.
