                       <p class="style1">The Dr. Anwarul Abedin Lecture Series for 2007 unfolds with the launching of the 2006 Lecture Series Publication. This publication contains 9 selected papers presented by the distinguished speakers during the 2006 edition of the Lecture Series.          The honorable Vice Chancellor, Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna presented a copy of the publication to the honoree, Dr.Anwarul Abedin, Founder Chairman of the American International University-Bangladesh. Dr.Anwar Hossain, Dean Faculty of Business and Dr. Charles C. Villanueva,          Associate Dean, Faculty of Business were also present in the launching ceremony. This was followed by the lecture delivered by Mr. Farhad Ahmed, Executive Director of the SEC who spoke on the topic “Central Depository System of Bangladesh”. In recognition of the valuable          lecture of Mr. Ahmed, Prof. Dr. Toffazal Hossain, Pro Vice Chancellor of AIUB, presented him the AIUB Crest and some souvenir items. The Pro VC concluded the program with an inspirational message and Dr. Villanueva gave his vote of thanks in which he mentioned the names of          the next distinguished speakers to come in the Lecture Series in the succeeding months. The Lecture Series will continue to be the venue of intellectual exchange and professional enrichment of the faculty and students. </p>
