American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) received Cisco Select Partner award at 2016 NetAcad Partner Summit Asia Pacific and Japan held at Le Meridian Hotel at Chiang Mai, Thailand from April 5-8, 2016. AIUB has been instrumental in growing the number of Networking Academy students in the past and maintaining high academy satisfaction and quality delivery of the courses and helped Cisco Networking Academy reach its goals. The award ceremony and appreciation dinner was held at Dhara Dhevi, Chiang Mai. Md. Manirul Islam, Director, Continuing Education Center and IT-Network Operations received the award on behalf of AIUB.
In the individual category, Umme Salsabil, Lecturer, Continuing Education Center is the only women who received Women in Networking award for her outstanding achievement and excellence in delivering networking academy courses, encouraging women in IT and making a difference. She was also crowned the 2015 Cisco STAR of the Year title with her story “Climbing My Dreams Everyday”. Md. Manirul Islam received 10 Years Instructor Service Recognition for his dedicated and passionate service at Cisco Networking Academy.
On the IPD (Instructor Professional Development) day, Md. Manirul Islam conducted 2 (two) technical sessions on Configuring Voice, Wireless, and Cellular Technologies on Cisco Routers using Packet Tracer which was highly appreciated by all instructor attendees and delegates coming from different countries across Asia Pacific region.
