A three-day Thai Festival in Bangladesh organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka was inaugurated at the Ismaili Jamatkhana at the city’s Bashundhara Residential Area on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.
AIUB is participating in the event along with its support in the event organization. The event, Thai Festival in Bangladesh 2017 was organized to experience the exiting opportunities and prospects that Thailand offers in the fields of health, higher education and tourism furthering the ties of Health and Education between the two countries.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam was present at the program as the chief guest. Ms. Panpimon Suwaannapongse, Ambassador of Thailand to Bangladesh, delivered welcome address at the inaugural session.
President of the International Chamber of Commerce, Bangladesh (ICC,B) Mahbubur Rahman was present as the guest of honor. A CEO Night was held on the opening day. Dr. Carmen Z Lamagna, Vice Chancellor of AIUB was the moderator of the CEO Night.
On September 14, 2017, a panel discussion was arranged at the venue on the topic ‘How to promote cooperation in the Education Sector between Bangladesh and Thailand ‘. Vice Chancellor Dr. Carmen also moderated this panel discussion. The discussants in the panel were:
