| The Orientation Program of the American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB) for about 700 newly admitted students in Undergraduate and Graduate programs for the Fall Semester 2009-2010 was held on September 3 & 5, 2009 at the AIUB Auditorium. The students and their guardians were informed about the Academic procedures, rules and regulations including registration, examination systems and other academic policies.
The Founder Chairman Dr. Anwarul Abedin and the Vice Chancellor Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna welcomed the freshmen students. Pro-vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain, Vice President (Academic) Prof. Dr. Tafazzal Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration and Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Charles C Villanueva, Dean, Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Siddique Hossain and Registrar, Prof. M. A. Quaiyum also spoke on this occasion.
After the core sessions of the Orientation Programs the Question and Answer session was presided over by the Vice Chancellor who replied to the various queries raised by the students and guardians.
On behalf of the Office of Student Affairs, Dr. Faheem Shahed, Head of English Department, Mr. Nisar Ahmed, Head of Finance Department, Mr. Ehsanul Huda Chowdhury, Head of Marketing, Mr. A K Nazmul, Coordinator, Office of Sports, Mr. Ziarat Hossain Khan, Coordinator, Office of Research and Publication and Mr. Manzur H Khan, Coordinator, Office of Student Affairs conducted the orientation presentation. |
