AIUB Oratory Club (AOC) hosted an open discussion session ‘Voice Against Drug’ to observe the World Anti Drug Day 2009 on June 25, 2009 at the AIUB Auditorium. The program was organized by National Debate Federation Bangladesh (NDF-BD). The discussion was followed by a show debate and a cultural presentation by AIUB Performing Arts Club (APAC) and guest performers from participating universities. The open discussion session was conducted by renowned TV presenter Raqibul Hasan interacting with country’s famous cricketers Mr. Habibul Bashar Sumon and Mr. Rakibul Hassan. Both of them were former captains of the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. Professor Dr. Tafazzal Hossain, Vice President, Academics of AIUB opened the program. The program was presided over by the Chairman of NDF-BD, Mr. A K M Shoeb. Mr. Mosharaf Hossain, Deputy Managing Director, Boishakhi TV was present as the Chief Guest of the Program. Among others, Mr. A K M Monjurul Huq, Chief News Editor, Radio Today, Ms. Rasheda Rownak Khan, TV Presenter and Lecturer of Jahangir Nagar University, Mr. Manzur H Khan, Coordinator, OSA, AIUB were also present.

Through this program the debaters and the students of participating universities voiced strongly against drug.
