AIUB Moot Court Club Organized ‘Rhetoric 1.0’

AIUB Moot Court Club (AMCC) recently organized a public speaking contest, named ‘Rhetoric 1.0’ on Wednesday, March 06, 2024, in the Media Studio of American International University-Bangladesh. The students of the Law Department participated in the event and showcased their exceptional oratory skills.

The contest provided a platform for aspiring speakers to express their thoughts, ideas, and perspectives on two topics on national and international law. Participants delivered powerful speeches that captivated the audience and demonstrated their ability to communicate effectively. The media studio served as the perfect backdrop for the event, providing a professional and engaging atmosphere. The participants’ passion and dedication were evident as they confidently addressed the audience, leaving a lasting impact with their words. It provided a platform for young speakers to share their unique perspectives and ideas, fostering a sense of empowerment and inspiration among the participants.

Further, the "Rhetoric 1.0" was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Tazul Islam, honourable Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS). His attendance added a touch of prestige to the event, and his valuable insights left a lasting impact on all the participants and attendees. The honourable judging panel was comprising of Associate Professor and Department Head, Dr Syeda Afroza Zerin; Assistant Professor, Dr. Mohammad Abu Taher; Lecturer, Quazi Omar Foysal and Lecturer, Sadman Rizwan Apurbo from Department of Law, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. The judges took the time to offer feedback to every participant, providing valuable guidance and constructive criticism to help them further enhance their public speaking skills.

The honourable judges had the challenging task of evaluating the participants’ performances. Their expertise and fair judgment ensured a fair and competitive environment throughout the contest. At the end of the competition, the Best Three Speakers were - Eshtiaque Zulquarnain Tashdid, Faiyaz Hasan Rafi and Kohinoor Akhter.
