AIUB Inter Department Six-a-side Football Tournament 2009 has started at the Banani Club Ground on July 15, 2009. Honorable Vice Chancellor Dr. Carmen Z Lamagna, Founder and Vice President of Student Affairs Ms. Nadia Anwar opened the tournament at 11.15 AM. Among others Prof. Dr. Tafazzal Hossain, Vice President of Academics Prof. Dr. Siddique Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Science were also present at the opening ceremony along with other high officials of the university. 32 teams from various departments are taking part in the tournament including 2 teams of Faculty and Officials. In the opening match EEE The Catalans beat the Architecture team by 2-0. The tournament will continue till July 20, 2009. The teams of the tournament are as follows:
