The AIUB Inter College Cricket Championship 2026 officially commenced on Monday, September 14, at the Sports Field of the American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB), with the grand inauguration ceremony held on Tuesday, September 15.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Ms. Nadia Anwar, Honorable Founder Member of the Board of Trustees, AIUB. She was joined by Prof. Dr. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor, AIUB; Mr. Abu Miah Akhanda Tuhin, Assistant Director, Public Relations; and Mr. Md. Joynal Abedin, Coordinator, Office of Sports, AIUB. The ceremony was attended by students, faculty members, administrative officials, and representatives of the participating institutions.

Organized by the AIUB Office of Sports in collaboration with the Office of Student Affairs, the championship features 32 colleges from across Dhaka City. The tournament provides a competitive platform for young cricketers to demonstrate their skills while fostering sportsmanship, discipline, and meaningful inter-institutional engagement.

All matches are being broadcast live through the official AIUB YouTube channel and the Office of Sports Facebook page, enabling the wider sports community and cricket enthusiasts to follow the action.

The championship will continue through September 20, 2026, featuring a week of competitive cricket and exciting encounters among the participating colleges.
